Home to a multitude of dynamic landscape & terrain. Pakistan has tons of mountains
(the deadly K2 & Nanga Parbat), rivers, lakes, glacier, valleys and forest, you name it, they have it!
And they are the most beautiful country I have ever been. You could never have imagine
i'm in Pakistan just by looking at the mountain & valleys photos.

Lets start with Lahore !

Lahore may not be the capital of Pakistan but it is definitely its soul. Being the 2nd biggest capital of
province Punjab. Lahore is rich in it cultural and atmosphere. Lahore remains as a major tourist destination
in Pakistan and home to major prominent mosque around the area.

Once we alight from the car, I had a major culture shock as in million pairs of eyes was staring
at all of us. We need to get out of their sight and keep walking as a group. Gradually more locals walk
behind us and follow us as the guide was explaining about the history and I was really distracted by them.
A 2hours tour into Lahore fort and the mosque took us almost 4hours to get out of the place.

Every 30secs or 1min, the locals guy will walk up to you and get a sefie.
As for the locals young ladies, they will tap your shoulder, shake hand with you and follow by a sefie.
While the older women, will just grab you by your arms and just look into the camera and smile.
I was taken aback and overwhelmed by them. I couldn't reject and will feel bad if I do.
But if I continue to selfie, I will miss the tour and place. So I learn to say no or just 1 quick selfie and run.

Lahore Fort also known as Shahi Qila is located in north-western corner of the historical city of Lahore.
The fort and Shalamar Garden are also enlisted as World Heritage Sites in 1981 by UNESCO.

The fort was initially constructed in 1566 AD by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, on the ruins of a mud fort which existed as early as 1021 AD. The Fort is rectangular and is located in the north western corner of Lahore,
adjacent to the Walled City which has 13 gates. The main gates are located alongside the centre of the western and eastern walls. Located centrally in the city of Lahore, the Lahore Fort is a magnificent fortified palace complex. Its elaborate Mughal architecture is straight out of a storybook of the Mysterious East. The side flight of stone steps staircase is large enough to allow several elephants carrying members of the royal family to enter at one time.

The gorgeous being elaborated and vivid mosaic decoration in pleasing colors on plaster base is the main feature of the wall that was commenced by Emperor Jahangir in 1624-25 A.D. It mainly reflects the sports and pastimes of Mughal Emperors, nevertheless it exposes a variety of geometrical and floral patterns. The human figures on this presents a clear vision of the various styles of the mosaic are adorned in some hunting, fighting, dancing and mythological scenes. This art known in Persian as Kashi Kari because it originated from Kashan the city of Persia (Iran).

This is Paien Bagh also known as the Ladies Garden. The main feature of the Mughal Garden is the provision of paved paths for the walkways. Paien Bagh was built for royal ladies to sustain their health. There is also a water basin in the middle of the spacious platform built built in brick work.

The Badshahi Mosque, also known as the “Emperor’s Mosque” is located in the heart of Lahore. It was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1673 and is one of the most significant landmarks of the city. Also in the distant skyline you can see the Minar-e-Pakistan, or the 'Eiffel Tower of Pakistan'
I love walking round the perimeters of the mosque. Every section will bring something different to see.

To be continue...….
