Day 5, 6 & 7 : Patreksfjorour / Isafjordur / Hvammstangi After spending two days in Snaefellsnes , its time to move on to the other region. Pass by this town Grundarfjorour which gives us a perfect view of the Mount Kirkjufell ~   Mt Kirkjufell (463m) is a beautifully shaped and a symmetric, free standing mountain on the northern coastline of the Snaefell’s Peninsula to the west of the Grundarfiord Bay. It is a save challenge for mountaineers with some experience despite some fatal accidents in the past.To its west is another free standing mountain, Stodin. Both mountains are totally severred from the peninsula’s mountain massif. It was also being called "The Sugar Top" ~ 11 photos of Mt.Kirkjufell Will Convince You to Fly to Iceland!!! Decided to op for a ferry ride from Stykkisholmur to our next destination in Patreksfiroi ~ I was rather surprise that the ferry could hold up to quite ...

Day 3 & 4 : Snaefellsnes Heading west for the following day using their Ring Road 1 to our next destination - Snaefellsnes. Ring road 1 is their national road that runs around the island and connects to most of the inhibitant places in iceland. Some of the popular attractions are all nearby the ring road. Well but you never know what you may see if you travel out of the ring road.  Pass by Borgarnes and had our lunch at the Coastal Settlement. Borgarnes is a small town on a peninsula at the shore of Borgardjordur in iceland with a population of 2000. As we all know that Iceland is a fishing port hence seafood is the best and fresh *i love seafood* so we would always order catch of the day as part of our meal. After the rest stop in Borgarnes, we venture out on Road 54 to our 2 days stay at Kast GuestHouse. Perhaps its winter time, not much of tourist hence we got the whole "cabin" to ourself. Kast was a pretty simple cabin / place and they are expanding...

A trip to Iceland can be like an expedition to another planet. Sure we may have all the creature comforts of home but this country is unlike anything that i've seen before and road trip travelling around is always an adventure for me to discover. Because seeing iceland has never been more excited. Almost everyone that comes to iceland touch down at Keflavik international airport . I was surprised having the thoughts of what would the passport "chop" of iceland be like? Something that would be interesting to keep as a memory in my passport. However to my disappointment, after collecting our luggage, we are simply out at the arrival hall with a big sign on top "Welcome to Iceland". So that's it? no chop, nothing?? Most of the travellers will booked a 4x4 Super jeep to start off the journey, however through our own research, a 2-wheel drive is good enough for us. We tailor our own trip and plan our own itinerary jaunting around the famous Golden ...
